Care Services Manager - Care Manager - Director of Nursing

One of the most genuine Church-based Aged Care operators, this national group has undergone major change with an exciting and dynamic profile and a very impressive portfolio of facilities.
Supporting the General Manager, this newly created role is being established to provide constructive and hands-on assistance to Care Staff to drive services forward to become recognised as a benchmark in holistic-based Aged Care.
If you:
• Possess Nursing and Gerontology qualifications and a passion for excellence in Holistic Aged Care in a church-based provider;
• Are familiar with and have belief in Person-Centred Care methodologies such as the Eden Alternative Principles;
• Enjoy building a team that is focussed on client-centred care;
• Want to work for an organisation that you can be proud of and care for;
• Understand the business and funding requirements of the current Aged Care system;
• Are strong on Quality Management, Clinical Leadership, Human Resources and Contemporary Aged Care Practice.
Key Selection Criteria
1. Demonstrated capacity to be a role model, embrace the organisation’s Values.
2. Capacity to create an aged care service environment that exemplifies the Christian ethos and philosophy of care.
3. Ability to work within the culture which is reflected through the adherence to standards and the behaviour of staff.
4. Demonstrated experience in the management of Nursing and Personal Care Services in an Aged care environment.
5. Demonstrated understanding of individualised care provision.
6. Willingness to work in a Catholic Aged care environment.
7. Good understanding of the Aged Care Act 1997 and Principles.
8. In depth understanding of the Aged Care Accreditation Standards.
Personal Qualities
• Ability to build relationships with staff, residents and their families.
• Collaborative leadership style and commitment to being visible within the House.
• Ability to work well within a team and to liaise closely on key decisions.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to influence people.
• Motivated by opportunities, change and progress.
Qualifications and Experience
• Registered Nurse with aged care management experience.
• A relevant post graduate qualification would be highly regarded.
